Hello and welcome to my first post! My name is Atsuya that is a portrait photographer based in LA. I am over the moon to finally be able to start blogging about photography as my piece of life. I am basically going to post a lot about home photoshoot ideas inspired by instagrammers that I come across. From what you might have seen before to some unique ideas that you deserve to know.

Just to let you know, I am going to try summarize the length of less than 10 minutes so that you can think of photoshoot you are going to do. Less is more.

As I am suggesting you an indoor photoshoot idea, i am sure every one of you comes to think of things like “it has to be something gorgeous” or “maybe an expensive tool is necessary”. Answer is no. I want you to know there are tons of innovative ideas out there.

I have prepared three ideas below and following ideas will not cost you anything, and use things that you already have, maybe in the kitchen, in the garden, or maybe you need to explore a little bit at your house. You can try them all by yourself. Having company like your friends or asking your mom for help is of course better.

1, Get creative with the fork and plate (Make a scene of eating spaghetti)

Bringing out some kitchen utensils never gets you bored. Who would have thought these items would make a worthy photoshoot idea?

I love the idea of capturing in natural light, maybe she took this shot near the window.

Entirely simple shot but placing the prep in front of her face intentionally and partially not being seen seems to convey some mysterious mood but still strong portrait.

2, Grab a glass of water

This one is really easy to do yourself. This reminds me of little kids playing, seeing through a glass of water that looks interesting from a person on the other side. Although It is more artistic.

Get you a glass of water, placing it on the table, and you should just wait for the gorgeous sunlight at the sunset time. What makes this shot look to a next level is contrasty. Both the shadow and the orange color of the sunlight compatible each other really well. There is no need to use expensive light equipment.

I absolutely love the result of this idea.

3, Stick flowers to your face

You might have seen a lot of instagrammers do this type of shot. Flowers are not just beautiful itself, it can elevate your beauty too. Also such easy props to get, and make your photoshoot fun! Gathering some kinds of flowers, cutting off the stem and gluing them together or just scattering flowers on the face would look good as well. It doesn’t need some professional posing skills or glamorous look, well if you feel like dressing up it is always good extra.

Let’s try this in a garden at your house or park in your neighborhood.

The result is incredible, plus it is a great way to make your friends jealous of you. It is absolutely worth try it.

Wrap Up

A little creativity and thinking outside of the box can go a long way. Even toys, cups, kitchen tools all that you familiar with, if you could give a role to them, they will be intriguing props. Put your original spin on something.

For shy people, it is tough thing is to show your face at the first time, so hiding part of your face along with these ideas might help you to practice and build your confidence to pose for a photoshoot.

Thank you for visiting and read all!! I hope my post will eventually be something you don't afraid to let yourself be on camera and shine it. See you on the next post.
